Ben Chilwell Ending Season at Chelsea?

Ben Chilwell

Bad news for Chelsea. Left wing-back Ben Chilwell has suffered a severe ACL injury and is believed to be out until the end of the season.

Ben Chilwell became one of the 'victims' of Chelsea's victory over Juventus in the Champions League continued on Wednesday (24/12) early morning WIB. Chilweel was sent off in the 71st minute, replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta.

In that match, Chelsea were able to win 4-0 and lock a ticket to the last 16 of the Champions League. But apart from Chilwell, N'Golo Kante was also injured and had to be substituted towards the end of the first half.

Reporting from The Sun, Ben Chilwell is known to have an ACL injury. The ACL is the tissue that connects the femur to the shinbone, in the knee.

"Chilwell has pain in his knee," said Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel after the Chelsea vs Juventus match.

ACL injury is a nightmare for footballers. If you want to recover, it will take at least six months!

Ben Chilwell does look limp. In fact, he had to be helped to walk out of the field.

Ben Chilwell himself is Thomas Tuchel's main choice to fill the left wing-back post. The English player is not only strong in defense, but also good at scoring goals!

Chilwell is fierce in the Premier League. He scored three goals and one assist from six matches.

"It's a shame, even though Chilwell is in fantastic form," Tuchel lamented.
